Job description – Associate Director for GPS – services under new Labour Codes

Roles and responsibilities

  • Independently manage execution of engagements under new labour codes   
  • Assistance in preparation and implementation of go to market strategy to expand footprint under new labour codes – develop marketing collaterals, strategy to identify target clients, ideation on initiatives for service visibility – webinars, media articles, blogs, etc.
  • Networking with peers in other service lines to identify business opportunities
  • Develop technical content for circulation to internal and external stakeholders - position paper, Alters and updates on latest developments on labour codes, information flyers, etc
  • Identify and anticipate changes in new labour law and design strategy to address the same.
  • Collaborate with teams in other expertise within the Firm to take comprehensive solution to clients
  • Ensure quality of service on all client engagements
  • Manage client onboarding and MIS for clients – job budget, resource allocation, invoicing and collections
  • Supervision, mentoring and development of the reporting team at Tier II and Tier III level, including managing attrition

Desirable profile:

  • LLB /MML (Mandatory)
  • Member of ICAI or ICSI (additional, desirable)
  • 8 to 10 years- relevant experience gained from professional firms (law firm or CA firm) in client servicing environment
  • Expert knowledge and proven experience in advising clients on labour laws, including compliances under various laws such as Payment of Bonus Act, The Payment of Wages Act, 1936; The Equal Remuneration Act, 1976; The Payment of Bonus Act, 1965; The Contract Labour (R&A) Act, 1970; The Trade Unions Act, 1926; The Industrial Employment (Standing Orders) Act, 1946; and The Industrial Disputes Act, 1947; The Employment Exchanges (Compulsory Notification of Vacancies) Act, 1959; The Maternity Benefit Act, 1961; etc.
  • Practical knowledge about provisions and compliances under Income tax, Corporate Laws, FEMA (additional, desirable)
  • Proven team handling experience
  • Excellent Communication Skills (Verbal & Written)
