Job Description

Roles and responsibilities:

  • Part of valuations team and will have to undertake assignments related to business valuation, equity valuation, financial reporting valuation like impairment testing, purchase price allocation, financial instrument valuation, regulatory valuations under FEMA, Companies Act and IT regulations, Private Equity valuations.
  • Assist in thought leadership publications.
  • Finalization of the valuation and the report.
  • Team mentoring
  • Comply with organizational rules, policies, and procedures.
  • Design the detailed project plan as per the expected delivery milestones. Plan resource allocation and ensure delivery within the target budget and high delivery quality
  • Conceptualize desired engagement solutions and train team members
  • Probe to deepen understanding of clients' goals and develops perspective on the business.
  • Understand and assess engagement situation through detailed understanding of the client’s business situation, market factors, growth aspirations and profitability targets
  • Conduct detailed data analysis and come up with relevant insights as per the engagement scope and expected deliverable.
  • Sectoral understanding and awareness of key industry trends and metrics.
  • Day to day client management, daily updates to engagements leaders and partners
  • Good presentation skills.
  • Demonstrates the ability to change from one task to another
  • Proactively seeks work and reaches out to continually improve self-results and stretch oneself.
  • Participate in Business Development Activities (Generate Leads and accompany other service lines for client meetings).
  • Establish trusting relationships with client contacts and with team members.
  • Provide support for initiatives that enable growth for organization and its clients.
  • Coordinates implementation of tools, processes and programs for building efficiency and sustainability for organization and its clients.

Expected profile:

  • MBA (top tier B-School), CA or CFA
  • 7 - 11 years of experience. Prior experience in a professional consultancy firm is preferred         
  • Relevant corporate experience will be considered
  • Personal relationships with past clients to provide leads for business development of the firm.
  • Executed some of following types of engagements in the past:
  • Valuations related to Mergers and Acquisitions. Should have worked on mercy deals.
  • Valuation relating to financial reporting which include purchase price allocation, financial instrument valuation, impairment testing, valuation of intangibles.

  • Strong inter-personal skills, communication - written and verbal
  • Good project management and team management skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Provide justification to valuation conclusion
  • Excellent PPT and excel skills
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple, concurrent projects and meet deadlines while working both independently and in a team environment
