Job Summary

The Engineer II, Software Operations, AI (RISE) is responsible for supporting the operational stability, availability, and security of AI engineering platforms and RPA solutions. This role monitors production environments, triages incidents, troubleshoots issues, and implements updates and fixes for Azure-based AI applications, databases, and RPA workloads. The position assists with vulnerability remediation, patching, and compliance activities, and contributes to automation and process improvements. The Engineer II collaborates with cross-functional teams to support continuous improvement through documentation and alert tuning.

Job Duties

• Monitors production AI and RPA applications, leveraging App Insights and other observability tools.
• Triages and investigates incidents, escalating as needed and coordinating with BDO USA IT resources.
• Troubleshoots and resolves operational issues for Azure OpenAI, Azure applications, databases, and RPA workloads.
• Implements updates, patches, and library upgrades in coordination with the AI Engineering Operations Manager.
• Assists with vulnerability remediation, secrets management, and certificate rotation.
• Operates and maintains existing RPA bots (UiPath, Power Automate).
• Contributes to operational documentation and runbooks.
• Participates in alert tuning and noise reduction for monitoring systems.
• Performs code reviews to enforce secure coding practices and support operational standards.
• Supports compliance activities related to ISO 27001 and audit requests.
• Collaborates with engineering teams on automation and process improvement initiatives.
• Other duties as required. 

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; focus in Computer Science or Information Systems, preferred

Experience:

• Three (3) or more years of experience in software engineering, required.
• One (1) or more years of experience with AI and/or generative AI development, preferred.
• Broad business experience within a professional services environment, preferred
• Experience with incident, problem, and change management in an ITSM environment, required
• Experience with monitoring/observability tooling and alert tuning, required

Software:

• Experience with the following products, preferred:
  • Microsoft Visual Studio
  • Microsoft Azure DevOps or Github
  • Microsoft SQL Server and/or Azure SQL DB
  • AI tools and frameworks
  • ServiceNow
