Job Description

Job Duties

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develops request forms, workflows, table changes, inbound/outbound actions scripts, client scripts, business rules, script includes, as well as, modifies/changes LDAP/webservices, Groups, ACL, and UI policies
  • Develops custom applications and third-party integration points
  • Configures enterprise systems based on user requirements
  • Designs, builds, and maintains efficient, reusable, and reliable customizations and system interfaces
  • Works with hosting provider to resolve system and performance issues
  • Ensures the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
  • Helps maintain code quality, organization, and automatization
  • Drafts operational processes for maintaining enterprise systems
  • Simplifies operational tasks to allow for administration by business users and/or members of the support team
  • Formulates basic strategies and proposals to outline action steps for accomplishing departmental and project goals
  • Facilitates meetings to discuss project requirements, as needed
  • Educates members of the team on assigned work items and provides technical guidance
  • Escalates critical issues to management and develops and implements strategies for timely resolution
  • Determines accurate estimates for project workload and deadlines
  • Acts as technical lead on small/medium IT projects
  • Provides on-call support, as needed

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

 

Education

  • High School diploma or GED, required
  • Bachelor's degree in a technology-related field, preferred

 

Experience

  • Three (3) or more years of development experience with web applications utilizing C#, JavaScript, HTML and SQL, required
  • Development experience with ServiceNow system, preferred
  • Experience with ServiceNow Discovery (patterns/probes) integration, preferred
  • Experience with integration packages, stored procedures and database schemas using SQL Server, preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft SharePoint and Microsoft Graph API, preferred
  • Experience with JavaScript Libraries including TypeScript and Angular, preferred
  • Experience serving in a technical lead role on IT projects, preferred
  • Experience with software development methodologies, preferred

License(s)/Certification(s)

  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator, preferred
  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer, preferred

 

 

Software

  • Experience with the following products preferred:
    • ServiceNow or hosted Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) system
    • Microsoft SQL Server technologies
    • Microsoft .Net technologies – Visual Studio
    • Microsoft Azure technologies – Azure Dev Ops or Github
    • Microsoft SQL Server and/or Azure SQL DB
    • Microsoft SQL Reporting Services and/or Power BI
    • Microsoft SQL Integration Services and/or Azure Logic Apps
