Job Summary

 

The Valuation & Business Analytics Senior Associate is responsible for utilizing previously obtained educational background, along with established organizational and project management skills to successfully service clients of BDO Valuation & Business Analytics.  This role works within a team environment to actively assist in the analysis and resolution of client matters while taking direction and receiving guidance from experienced staff and management members.  The Senior Associate is involved in all stages of client management, including identification of potential valuation issues, construction of valuation modeling, completion of industry and client research and analysis of financial statements.

Job Duties

 

  • Constructs valuation models for a variety of purposes, including but not limited to one or more of the following:
    • Valuation of business equity / enterprise value
    • Valuation of intangible assets
    • Valuation of common stock equities, options etc. for ASC 718 / ASC 820
    • Valuation of complex financial securities
  • Performs company, industry and economic research
  • Performs benchmark analyses and assists with analytical tasks and projects
  • Analyzes financial statements
  • Assesses operational profitability and financial conditions
  • Develops and reviews cash flow forecasts
  • Navigates public company databases and filings
  • Documents and ensures quality control of work product for assigned engagements
  • Composes appropriate narrative reports to support valuation analyses 
  • Develops exhibits and memos to illustrate complex issue
  • Assists with project preparation and delivery
  • Archives work files in accordance with BDO Best Practices
  • Participates in external and internal client meetings
  • Trains and contributes to professional development of assigned professionals
  • Other duties as required

 

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

 

Education:

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance or other relevant field required.
  • M.Com / MBA preferred

  • Superior analytical skills with the ability to deconstruct complex issues
  • Ability to analyze and organize high volumes of data
