Job Summary

The Network Administrator position is responsible for installation, documentation, monitoring performance and management of hardware and software to support BDO’s data and voice network.  The Network Administrator possesses knowledge of intermediate network management and provides second level support network related issues.

Job Duties

• Install, operate, document, and monitor BDO’s network infrastructure.
• Properly escalate incidents in a timely manner per support guidelines and procedures
• Performs Move, Add, Change work on Cisco Phone System & Unity Voice Mail
• Other duties as required

• Perform upgrades on a variety of network devices including routers, switches, battery back-up systems, and out of band management devices.
• Provide second level support for network and telephony related issues
• Track update and resolve assigned incidents, changes and problem reports in the incident management system, ensuring that documentation is thorough, accurate and meets a standard of high quality.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Education

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or other relevant field of study preferred

Experience

• One (1) or more years of experience working with Cisco networking, including route/switch, VOIP, and/or wireless required

License(s)/Certification(s)

•  Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) preferred

Software

• Functional knowledge of SolarWinds preferred
