Job Description
1) To be fully familiar with the regulations and work procedures applicable to
the task to be executed but not limited to the following;
Risk Management, WP system
2)Regular deck maintenance and repairs
3)Mooring and Marine operations such as Dive Support and Supply Boats
4)Duties and tasks in deck department, and in engine room when so
assigned
5)Assist with cargo operations
6)Assist in Tank work as e.g. cleaning of among others; cargo-, ballast, FW
tanks.
7)Erecting and dismantling and maintaining scaffolds and scaffolding
materials
8)To report to Marine SUPERINTENDENT / Safety Officer on accidents,
undesired events and nonconformities on deck.
9)Ensure mechanical standards / procedures / maintenance on deck area at
the FPSO are maintained in accordance with all relevant regulations and
company standards.
10)Maintain and control, including records and certificates, all lifting and
rigging gear
11)Lead lifting and store/provisions operations on deck
12)Control of paint register and paint store
13)Control of MSDS within own department
14)Ensure correct and adequate use of PPE within own department
15)Maintain oil recovery equipment according to the SOPEP plan
16)Garbage management according to procedures and directions from
Marine SUPERINTENDENT.
Participate and actively promote AFPO’s HSE&Q systems
Education
SSC or HSC with STCW certification
Experience
5 years’ experience as Able Bodied Seaman on oil tanker / FPSO
Interpersonal Skills
1.Good communicative skills, fluent English oral and written
2.Good abilities in collaboration/team-work
