Job Description
1)Ensure that BW Offshore Safety Procedures and Instructions are complied
with.
2)To assist the Operations and Maintenance departments with their duties
and activities with respect to rigging and scaffolding
3)Maintain fire-fighting appliances and life-saving equipment in accordance
with the Planned Maintenance System and related certification in date.
4)Carry out the duties of Helideck Crew.
5)To ensure that all lifting, rigging and slinging equipment is tested and has
been certified suitable for use.
6)Undertake onboard crane activities.
1)As a member of the Safety Team demonstrate commitment to the Team
Goals by;
2)Zero LTI performance.
3)All incidents to be thoroughly investigated and submitted to the OIM.
4)While maintaining a team goal aimed at maximising Oil and Gas
production. Will achieve the business plan’s “committed” target as a
minimum.
5)Major equipment availability > 98%
6)All PM’s completed as Maintenance Philosophy.
7)Has not required any unplanned shutdowns to complete outstanding
safety critical PM’s.
8)Completion of safety critical PM’s are part of team member’s performance
review.
9)Team members maintain regulatory compliance i.e. Fire training, HUET,
Medicals etc.
10)Team demonstrates knowledge of HSE policy and procedures.
11)Highlights Opex spending with Safety Officer during quarterly
performance review.
12)Monitors and maintains records of action items and completion
information
Education
HSC and BOSEIT
Qualification
1)Crane Driver’s License
2)Offshore experience preferable
3)Riggers certificate
4)Scaffolder certificate
5)Dogmans certificate
6)Strong personal and interpersonal skills, fluency in English and culturally
aware with experience of working with multi-cultural workforce preferred.
Experience
Five years’ experience gained in the capacity of Crane Operator  on an offshore facility preferably on floating facilities.Experience as radio officer, purser or similar position on sailing vessels in
work wide trade
Position Goal- To provide onboard crane operations and to be a lead hand to a small team
of riggers in the movement and handling of all onboard
equipment and items.
